Fundraising consultant sought to help expand our impact in underserved communities

We have a brilliant opportunity for a fundraising consultant to play a key role in the next phase of our growth, and supporting us in improving and saving million of lives in underserved communities in Sub-Saharan African countries.

  • Initial 12-month period contract.
  • Consultant rates and payment models to be mutually agreed.
  • Remote working – preferred location UK, but open to other locations.

Key responsibilities

Working directly with the Spirit Health Foundation CEO, the role will be responsible for:

  • Developing and implementing effective fundraising strategies and plans, aligned to Spirit Health Foundation’s purpose and goals
  • Generating and securing new funding opportunities across multiple channels, including corporate, philanthropy, multi and bilaterals, and individual donors
  • Leading, managing and optimising the fundraising pipeline, supported by relevant platforms and tools
  • Building and growing relationships with funders by leveraging existing and new personal networks across the different segments
  • Managing the RFP submission processes for prioritised grant or contract opportunities
  • Monitoring, evaluation and reporting, identifying actionable ways to continuously enhance fundraising performance

About you

We’re looking for someone who is comfortable working with a high degree of ownership and autonomy, with high levels of personal responsibility, accountability and integrity. You’ll have exceptional attention to detail and be willing to go the extra mile to deliver impact for our communities and partners.

Must have

  • Strong experience as a fundraiser in the non-profit sector.
  • Proven track record in delivering six-figure contracts and fundraising income growth.
  • Excellent expertise in multi-channel fundraising, including corporate, philanthropy and individual donors.
  • Extensive network of contacts you can leverage to support fundraising goals, strategies and plans.

Good to have

  • Fundraising experience in global health and development
  • Proven ability to secure multi-year funding commitments
  • Good understanding of different fundraising platforms and analytics tools
  • Effective communication skills to engage with the needs of different funders in written and oral form
