We’re looking for a Regional Programme Manager, Southern & Eastern Africa to join our team. This is a brilliant opportunity to play a key role in developing and delivering innovative, community health services in underserved communities across the region.
It’s an exciting time to join us. After launching at the end of 2023, we are already collaborating with leading non-profits to deploy new health services in Southern Africa, and working on establishing new partnerships to support many more communities in need.

Responsibilities
Working directly with the Spirit Health Foundation CEO and Spirit Health Group experts, alongside our in-country non-profit and government partners, your key responsibilities will be:
- Project management from planning and resourcing to implementation and scale up on-the-ground in the communities
- Managing the development and deployment of capacity building programmes for community health workers and healthcare providers
- Managing the co-creation of the community health solution with partners and the communities themselves
- Co-ordinating clinical and delivery experts in the development and deployment of clinical content in Clinitouch
- Working with the Spirit Health technology team to guide the installation of Clinitouch and the community health solutions within existing health systems
- Exceptional in-country partner management, including status meetings, pro-actively and promptly dealing with requests, and building strong relationships
- Supporting the monitoring and evaluation team in rigorous assessment of all our initiatives, identifying actionable learnings to amplify impact
What we’d like you to bring
The successful candidate must have
- 5+ years of programme management in global health.
- Experience of field operations in low-resource communities in Sub-Saharan Africa.
- Experience working with digital health platforms and tools.
- Experience engaging and working with government stakeholders.
- Experience managing the training of teams of health workers.
- Proactive and resourceful approach to problem solving.
- Comfortable travelling regularly to the communities across the region.
- Passionate about making health accessible in underserved communities.
Good to have
- Experience working in a non-profit organisation.
- Master of Public Health (MPH).
- Project management certifications.

- Comfortable working with a level of ownership and autonomy.
- High levels of personal responsibility, accountability and integrity.
- Will go the extra mile to deliver impact for our communities and partners.
